Discovered a problem with x11vnc and Fedora 35.\u00a0 I have disabled Wayland.<\/p>\n
Each virtual machine couldn’t register left parentheses or right ( “(” and “)” ).\u00a0 \u00a0this is through UltraVNX or TigerVNC.\u00a0 \u00a0However, could do locally.<\/p>\n
Fix for this is follows – on the machine running x11vnc – set the x binding as such<\/p>\n
xmodmap -e “keycode 187 = Shift_L 0”<\/p>\n
xmodmap -e “keycode 188 = Shift_L 9”<\/p>\n
There, that is the temporary fix.<\/p>\n
BTW: I used the command
\nxmodmap -pke<\/p>\n
to determine what the temporary fix should be.<\/p>\n
xmodmap -pke
\n((default))
\nkeycode 187 = parenleft NoSymbol parenleft
\nkeycode 188 = parenright NoSymbol parenright<\/p>\n
and then the temporary fixed result from xmodmap -pke
\n((temporary fix))
\nkeycode 187 = Shift_L 0 Shift_L 0
\nkeycode 188 = Shift_L 9 Shift_L 9<\/p>\n
